There are various volunteer opportunities for you to help at Magothy River Middle. Please review the list below with a brief description of volunteer opportunities available through the PTSO. Please contact our VP-Communications, Kristin Hurff or our President, Rebekah Hicks, and/or the MRMS School Volunteer Coordinator, Amanda McDowell, Media Specialist, for more information.

If you’d like to help with our Marlin Night school carnival (generally held the last Friday of April) with food, games, silent auctions, raffles, inflatables, and much more, please email Rebekah Hicks. It’s a lot of fun, and is the biggest fundraiser of the school year!

8th Grade End of Year Promotion Activities – assist administration with end of year activities.

Book Fair – volunteer during the book fair.

Box Tops for Education –  perfect to do from home on your schedule.

Fundraisers – help plan and execute PTSO fundraisers that are held throughout the year.

Hospitality – help with teacher appreciation events.

Marlin Night – help with all aspects of this in-school fundraiser (the biggest event of the year!)

PBIS Marlin Store – volunteer in the school store during lunch periods.

Recreational Reading – work with student groups to discuss books.

Teacher Projects – copy, laminate, 3-hole punch, etc.
